Located in a back house of an East Hollywood Residence, the client wanted to fit out the existing structure to become a recording studio. By studying the room with its existing red materials of brick and terracotta, there was an intention to deepen these hues by adorning the room with warm cherry colored fabric.

Acoustics became the driving force of design, as the main composition consists of the scalloped ceiling, dressed walls of suspended fabric, and the multiple constructed acoustic panels. The transient aspect of these elements produces an ephemeral space that can be disassembled and reassembled in alternate interiors in the future.
